About the Role
As a Human Resources Specialist, you’ll be a key player on our Corporate HR team—supporting team members across the organization and helping keep our people processes running smoothly. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, values confidentiality, and takes pride in keeping systems accurate and people informed.
You’ll work hands on with HR systems, recruiting processes, training coordination, and reporting—while also contributing to the positive employee experience Willow Valley Associates is known for.
What You’ll Be Doing
Maintain and manage HRIS data (new hires, promotions, changes, terminations)
Support recruiting and hiring, including job postings, background checks, and onboarding packets
Coordinate and help lead New Team Member Orientation
Track and audit compliance items such as reviews, training, and certifications
Prepare and analyze HR reports (anniversaries, turnover, UC charges, training completion, and more)
Serve as an I 9 subject matter expert
Assist with training logistics, calendars, and materials
Help keep our internal communications fresh—like editing the Willow Breeze
Support employee recognition efforts (Pride O Grams, celebrations, milestones)
Provide backup support within the HR team when needed
And above all—handle sensitive information with care, discretion, and professionalism.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll thrive in this role if you bring:
An Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred) and 2+ years of HR experience
Strong working knowledge of HRIS systems (UKG experience is a big plus!)
Valid Drivers License for occasional travel to hotels
Comfort with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher)
Experience with recruiting, HR processes, and employment documentation
Excellent organization, follow through, and communication skills
The ability to balance routine tasks with problem solving and judgment
A commitment to confidentiality and professionalism
PHR or SHRM certification is a plus, but not required.
